North Georgia Heats Up: Moe’s Show Featured by Art Seen ATL

We’re always proud of the shows that come through Moe’s record Shop, but this one hit a little different.

Recently, Art Seen ATL featured one of our latest live shows—highlighting performances from Summer in the Psych Ward, 7th Try, and Uniqo—and captured exactly what makes these nights so special.

According to writer Yoselin Madrid, the energy in the room didn’t just stay inside Moe’s, it “warmed up the entirety of Gainesville,” turning a cold North Georgia night into something unforgettable.

A Night Fueled by Energy & Connection

Madrid describes a show driven by three distinct sounds—UNIQO’s garage/indie rock, 7th Try’s alternative edge, and Summer in the Psych Ward’s unapologetic punk intensity—all coming together to create a night where standing still simply wasn’t an option.

From the very first set, the crowd was locked in.

As Madrid wrote, UNIQO opened with immediate impact, sparking mosh pits early and keeping momentum high with a mix of originals and a cover of Radiohead’s “Just.” Their connection with the audience stood out, especially when lead singer JJ jumped into the crowd—something that became a theme throughout the night.

That sense of connection carried through each set, with band members stepping off the stage and into the crowd, creating what Madrid described as an energy exchange that kept the excitement building from start to finish.

Three Sets, One Shared Energy

When 7th Try took over, the pace didn’t slow down.

Madrid noted that their set was filled with nonstop movement—moshing, headbanging, and even crowdsurfing—driven by a sound that felt true to the roots of alternative rock. Whether performing songs from Signs of Exit or other releases, their identity as a band came through clearly, with a performance that demanded the crowd’s full energy.

By the time Summer in the Psych Ward hit the stage, the room was already electric—but somehow, it kept building.

With distorted guitars and relentless intensity, their set pushed the night to its peak. Madrid highlights a standout moment: a cover of “Catalyst” by Intension, which brought an added level of excitement as familiar faces from the band were spotted in the crowd. It was a moment that blended community, influence, and pure energy into something unforgettable.

The Kind of Show You Feel After It Ends

By the end of the night, the impact was clear.

Madrid describes a room full of fans connecting with each band—talking music, asking questions, and already looking forward to what’s next. It’s that kind of experience that turns a show into something more than just a lineup—it becomes a shared moment.

Or, as the article puts it, if you left sweaty with your feet hurting… you did it right.

Thank you again to Yoselin Madrid from Art Seen ATL for the thoughtful feature and continued support of local Atlanta artists.
