Moe's Record Shop has been recognized by Southern Living Magazine as one of its "13 Record Stores That Belong On Every Music Lover's Bucket List," earning the #3 spot on the list among independent record stores across the South. It's an honor we never expected, and one we're incredibly grateful to receive.

Moe’s Record Shop, in the heart of downtown Gainesville, where great music brings people together.
Since opening our doors in 2019, our goal has never been to simply sell records. We've always wanted Moe's to be a place where people discover new music, reconnect with old favorites, meet fellow music lovers, and feel at home the moment they walk through the door.
Southern Living captured that spirit perfectly, writing:
"At this gem in downtown Gainesville, customers come for the owner as much as they do for the vinyl. Moe Lyons, a Kentucky native who spent decades working in music retail and public administration, fulfilled his dream retirement gig when he started this shop in 2019. The thoughtful selection features alt-rock groups like The Replacements and jazz greats like Miles Davis. Shopping here feels personable and fun thanks to the passion of Lyons and his collaborator, Alan Wine, who are both eager to introduce you to their next favorite grooves.
